Using Stedi's Healthcare API within Salesforce Apex & Flow

Introduction

I recently worked with a client who needed a solution for checking patient eligibility directly from Salesforce. After evaluating several options, I built a solution using Apex, Flow, and Stedi's healthcare API sandbox. This implementation not only met the client's requirements but did so with minimal development time and cost.

The Challenge

Healthcare providers need to verify patient insurance eligibility quickly and efficiently. Traditionally, this process involves:

• Managing disparate systems outside of the primary CRM

My client wanted to streamline this process by integrating eligibility checking directly into their Salesforce instance, where all their patient data already lived.
